Angelux is an Electronica project by French singer and songwriter Norma Ray and NY Electronica producer Thomas Foyer. Stefan co-wrote 'Brasil' for their new album and has laid down several bass tracks in Thomas' high-end studio in NY. The album was mastered by Tom Coyne at Sterling Sound.
Elliott Randall has produced a remake of Bill Withers 'Lovely Day' for his forthcoming EP and has invited Stefan to play on the track. Of course, it was a joy to play this all-time classic bass line with it's great catchy character. (...it also reminded me a little bit of my past Limahl shows!!)
Mix is a very funky artist and has invited Stefan to play 8 tracks on her latest album called 'Spoffle'. She writes some seriously funky bass lines! Check her out in the music section.
'Back to Gaya' is an animated feature movie produced in Germany by Warner Brothers. Stefan has played bass on the title track.
'Mr. Pants' is an animated short film by New York based JoAnn Berman and Walter Velasquez. It was great fun laying down 70s Funk bass lines with a 'Shaft' feel and scored by Thomas Foyer.
Stefan played bass on Israeli multi-instrumentalist Koby Israelite's first album - 'Dance of the Iditos' has just beeing released by Avant-garde saxophonist John Zorn's label Tzadik in New York. The album has been very well received by the worldwide press and Stefan has had some nice credits like: '...the bass gets all wet and nasty...' (The Japan Times) and '...decidedly funky bassist Stefan Redtenbacher...' (The Squid's Ear).
Michael Rais is a New York Dance & House artist who has released his first album 'Deep Sonic'. Produced by Thomas Foyer for Lizard-on-fire productions the album features a couple of tracks with Stefan's basslines in a Deep House electronica setting.
Stefan has played on a remake of Queen's 'Somebody to Love', the title track for 'Ella Enchanted', a forthcoming Miramax feature film.
