Are you making plans for tomorrow evening? Stuck? Come to see a good dose of Jazzy Funk at the Farncombe Cavern: http://t.co/j5H99VGE

At the Farncombe Cavern

Friday 17th of February

Redtenbacher’s Funkestra and The Inappropriate Presidents to heat up the freezing temperatures with their regular night at the Farncombe Cavern

The Farncombe Cavern

Come down and enjoy another funkified double bill at the Cavern this coming Friday evening.
The last time the club was nearly bursting out of its seams and everybody seemed funkily merry – let’s just do it again!

Doors open at 8pm and the tickets are £ 8 or £ 5 for students, either on the door or buy them in advance or you can buy or download any of our CDs or any other goodies from our store and bring a proof of purchase acting as your ticket.

The Funkestra will play with our regular line up:

  • Jim Hunt on tenor sax
  • Sid Gauld on trumpet,
  • Mike Sturgis on drums
  • Eran Kendler on guitar

and the wonderful Simon Colam will step in on keys for Rob Taggert who is currently on tour with Rumer in the US (priorities, priorities…:-) …and just in case…to avoid possible confusion….I will play me bass.

As always we will play a cross section from our last five records as well as the odd new one to gauge your response (see if it is worth the pursuit :-)

The Inappropriate Presidents are a London based band that play a titillating stew of funky and groovy instrumental tunes with a firm edge.

Their line up is:

  • James Pusey – guitar (James is an in demand London West End and session guitarist who also runs his own band and even plays a mean sitar)
  • Andrew McKinney – bass (from the James Taylor Quartet and Head of Bass at the Tech Music School)
  • John Rutledge – saxophone
  • Ali van Ryne – drums
